How Do I Get a QR Reader?

A QR Reader is an application you can download on your smartphone to read, or scan, QR Codes. Once the reader is installed on your device, you simply open the application, point your phone to the QR Code as if you were taking a picture, and that's all there is to it. The code is scanned and you will be taken to the website.

Installing a QR Reader on your smartphone or mobile device is quick and easy. There are many QR Readers available, some are free and others may cost a few dollars.

Visit the app store for your device to find a QR Reader compatible with your device. Below, you'll find directions on how to download a QR code reader for iPhone®, Android® and BlackBerry® smartphones.

 

For iPhone® and Android®:
To install the free reader, simply open your browser on your device and from the home screen and visit www.mviso.com/scan. Then select the blue "Click Here" link.  This will identify your phone and direct you to the app installation for your device.

For BlackBerry® (with Blackberry Messenger® Version 5.0 or Higher):  BlackBerry® has a code reader built into BlackBerry Messenger®.  
Go to BlackBerry Messenger® (BBM ver. 5.0), press Menu, select invite contact and  
select scan bar code. Then simply hover your phone over the scan code to read it. 

For BlackBerry Torch® 
Go to App World™, press the menu key and select "Scan a Barcode."

How do I upgrade to BlackBerry Messenger© Version 5.0?  If you don't have the QR scan code capability, you will need to upgrade to BBM Version 5.
To do so, simply open your browser from the home screen and visit 
http://www.blackberry.com/bbm  (Follow the download instructions and then refer to BlackBerry instructions above to scan.)
