Mailing Classes
At First Impressions, we have a long standing relationship with our local USPS Bulk Mail Centers and an in-depth knowledge of the USPS mailing requirements. These relationships, along with our expertise, allow us to get you the best possible rates and services for all your mailing needs.
There are a few options when it comes to getting your project in the mail. Factors to consider are the size and weight of the piece, the quantity and targeted in-home delivery date. There are three basic types of mail - First Class, First Class Presorted and Bulk.
First Class - The most expensive class of mail with the quickest estimated delivery schedule. Any quantity of mail is eligible for First Class Delivery.
First Class Presorted - Postage is discounted because the mailer has prepared the mail so that it is sorted to the finest extent required by the standards for the price claimed. The mailing must consist of at least 500 pieces. The mailer groups pieces in a mailing by ZIP Code or an other USPS–recommended separation. Quick estimated delivery schedule. Design limitations as to how much space is needed for the address.
Standard or Bulk Mail - As with First Class Presorted, postage is discounted because the mailer has sorted the mail to meet and expedite USPS processes and regulations. The mailing must consist of at least 200 pieces. It is the least expensive way to send mail, however it takes a little longer for the mail to reach its final destination. Design limitations as to how much space is needed for the address.
