Saddle-Stitch Binding - Uses one or more staples in the fold of a booklet or catalog. Best recommended for projects of 72 pages or less, dependent upon paper stock.
Side Stitch Binding - Staples the pages on one edge - either vertical or horizontal, rather than along the fold. Best suited for coupon books, raffle tickets, etc.
Perfect Binding - Glue is applied to the outside edge of the pages and then pressed into the cover. Best suited for annual reports, paperback books and magazines.
Case Binding - Pages are sewn together and attached to a hard cover. Best suited for hard cover books.
Plastic Comb Binding - Holes are drilled along the spine, and a plastic grasping device is inserted to hold the pages together. Best recommended for projects up to 3" wide.
Coil Binding - A metal or plastic wire is spiraled through holes punched along the side of a stack of paper. Commonly used for reports, proposals and manuals. Documents bound with coil have the ability to lay flat and can rotate 360 degrees. Also called spiral binding.
